LEGEND SOCCER COMPANY
Do you like soccer (or, as the rest of the world calls it, football)? Dirk does in a big way, and it has become a family affair.

Dirk's son Roland and 2 friends have started Legend Soccer Company,  developing innovative, sustainable soccer gear (and only soccer gear). Learn about Legend Soccer Company at the link above. Dirk not only endorses Legend Soccer, he's involved with it - "and not only because Roland is my son."

Default Hello from Canada

Hi My name is David and I live in Ontario Canada. My job has me bringing oxygen to sick people. My TV/movie hero is Starbuck, the one played by Dirk I mean. I haven't met Dirk yet but it's on my list of things to do.

Hello David from Canada. Welcome from California. Happy to find you here.

If you need help getting your Happy Birthday message posted, Dawg will have to help you with that. I'm all thumbs in that department.

Enjoy!

Hi David! I'm new here too! Just wanted to say hello to you and the other members. I'm a fair distance away as I live in New Zealand. I spent some time travelling around Canada a few years ago. I travelled from British Columbia across to Quebec and back again. It was an amazing experience! One of the highlights was visiting Niagara Falls! Incredible! Anyway just wanted to say you live in a beautiful country David!

I was at the library about a month ago looking through the DVDs and saw the original Battlestar Galactica series. I had watched it when I was younger and had very fond memories of it. Seeing as I'm on a Dirk Benedict fan site I would guess it would come as no surprise that Starbuck was my favourite. I have to confess Apollo was a close second. Over the next four weeks I re-watched the whole series. I think I enjoyed it as much, if not more, than the first time around! They don't make TV series like that anymore, for better or worse. I did a bit of googling, as you do, and ended up watching some of Dirk's convention videos and reading some articles about him. I was really struck by his sense of humour and honesty, and by what he has gone through over the course of his life and this lead me to read And Then We Went Fishing. What an amazing book! Finally, I found my way here. So Hi!

Welcome to both of you, and I hope you find a lot here that you find interesting and valuable!

Antimony, you discovered the same thing I did. I was also young(er) when Battlestar Galactica was first on, but it was the more recent viewings that made me realize just how complex the story actually was. That they were able to tell such a story in the constraints of '70's television is a testament to their storytelling abilities (re-used SFX shots notwithstanding).

I also thoroughly enjoyed "Fishing." Have you read "Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy" yet?

How about you, David?

Hey John! I'm thinking of rereading Fishing as there was so much in it. Some of it was a little challenging for me to be honest, hence the possible reread. Would definitely like to read Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy, but haven't been able to lay my hands on a copy yet. Something to look forward to...

I am new here. My name is Ursula and I live in Belgium.
Here in Belgium give them every weekend, The A-Team on TV and it stays fine to look at it, I've seen all the episodes as a child. I also have the complete DVD collection.
I'm not really book reader and books but his Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy and And We Went Fishing I have read and they are really beautiful! I can not describe how much I enjoyed it!
A nice Sunday everyone

Welcome Ursula! I love the A-Team! It's a great programme isn't it! I'm currently re-watching the 4th series. Like you I watched the series as a child, and am now rediscovering it. I must say I'm a little envious of your complete DVD collection. At this stage I only have the 4th and 5th series on DVD, but I'm keeping my eye out for some cheap copies of series 1-3, so I can complete the set. Welcome again!
