LEGEND SOCCER COMPANY
Do you like soccer (or, as the rest of the world calls it, football)? Dirk does in a big way, and it has become a family affair.

Dirk's son Roland and 2 friends have started Legend Soccer Company,  developing innovative, sustainable soccer gear (and only soccer gear). Learn about Legend Soccer Company at the link above. Dirk not only endorses Legend Soccer, he's involved with it - "and not only because Roland is my son."

As we are getting closer to the con, I really need to start thinking how to create the perfect atmosphere . Suggestions anyone ????

You'll be fine. Deep breath and hand him a gift. The rest should come naturally.

Thanks

Good! A little "juice" and a nice swig of scotch before you hit the convention, and you'll be all set.

The last thing I want to do is be disrespectful or anything like that, so how do we address him upon meeting him for the very first time? Either as Mr. Benedict or Dirk ???
Hello LittleMonkeyDog I know this was posted over a year ago and I hope you don't mind me commenting on this?, but this is exactly the way I felt going to comic con this year. Because you replied to me saying that you are also a very shy person like myself I feel I can be open about this as I too have been brought up to be extremely polite to others and I was keeping somewhat of a "distance" I guess while meeting Dirk, not out of ignorance of course and I hope I didn't come across in that way, but out of complete respect. I also went a little blank on things to say to him. My partner who was also brought up extremely polite had helped a lot with that (thank goodness). We did talk of course and then at the photo opportunity he had said to us "come on don't be shy, get in closer" which was lovely as I think he could tell that we were being respectful of his space.
So I would like to thank you for posting this, as it seems common to have these "anxieties"

It was so fun re-reading this. LD, I'm still waiting for your performance. Should i pack the smelling salts?

No, I don't mind at all. I've met him twice already in the meantime and still I don't really know how to address him. Also I'm still not really sure what to say to him before we actually start talking that is
