Celebrity Big Brother 5 Well...he went and did it. In 2007 Dirk stepped into the Big Brother house for CBB 5 in the UK. 25 days. All Dirk, all the time. Here are the discussions about Dirk in the house with the other celebs. Bloggers welcome. |

Best source?
Hey folks,
I stumbled over a couple BB videos on Youtube when I was actually looking for convention videos. I wonder what is the best source to watch them online.
I've found a series on Youtube with 26 episodes which seem to be one hour summaries that were presented on TV back then. But I also found a few clips that showed situations in the house that were not in the one hour summary. So I wonder where those come from.
I read somewhere here in the forum that there are videos on Youtube with (then) live streams but I cannot find them. Does anyone know if they are still online and where to find them?
The few videos I've watched so far just made me adore Dirk even more. Especially his skipping, dancing and goofyness was nice to look at (laughed my ass off when he started his silly dance at the Jackson 5 party). I wonder if he was that silly during breaks while filming the A-Team, too. Could as well have played Murdock himself.

Re: Best source?
I say take what ever small glimpses you can find. But only watch the official "episodes" if you really are ready for some heartache. That's my opinion to those anyway...
As for the lived feed, a user by the name of Kingpotter10 had a bunch of videos called "Dirk Benedict..." something... I watched all of those while at the same time cursed the birds and planes... These were apparently recorded from the live feed, which are wonderful... but cursed those birds and planes that keep cutting out all the interesting stories Dirk tells.
[puts silly hat on]
Maybe Dirk should do voice over those, so we can get the full stories...
[silly hat off]

Re: Best source?
I don't think BB will let us know the whole story. It felt like some of those "edits" were on purpose.
I searched for CBB and then watched the longer clips. I got through most of them a couple of years ago.

Re: Best source?
Yeah those birds and planes... what's that about anyways? I watched one video in which Dirk and Jo discussed hair and just when Dirk was about to tell what happened to his back then there was the stupid chirping. Arrrgh! I suppose he was telling something along the line of having his hair highlighted in BSG and A-Team but in truth he's not blond...
I might download the videos, you never know how long they stay online. Even though it's weird to watch him like that (makes me feel like a stalker) the videos show so well how he really is, and I really enjoy what I'm seeing there. I heard him calling himself a grump in one of his dairy room sessions, but I think he's too hard on himself there. He's just like we all are, sometimes we all just have bad moods (especially when some immature chic is chasing you around). Actually, all the nasty events just showed he's not resentful at all as a day or two later he relaxed and talked to them all again normally.
What I enjoy the most in BB remains to be his skipping (amazing!) and the silly dances. And when he was laughing for whatever reason. There's nothing better than a happy Dirk.

Dirk was blond when he was younger. It wasn't highlighted for his roles.
I have a sister who's hair did the same thing. Very blond as a kid. Now, she's a brunette.
I have some opinions on what happened in the house. Overall, I thought he did very well.

Really? How interesting! Aren't genetics a wonderful thing? I wonder why he was talking about highlights in this BB video though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDJ8VLp_gl4. But either way, he's got stunning hair, I'd love it even if it was pink or purple.

Yeah, unlike so many other celebs (or wannabes) he kept his dignity when he left the house. And boy am I glad he didn't get sucked up in the worldwide media disaster about that racist argument. But I liked his comment about it when he said apparently the world doesn't have any other problems anymore if they care so much about what's going on inside BB.

My hair was very dark when I was a baby then I went very light blonde (it went even lighter in the sun which happens to many people) now I'm slightly darker again as I got older lol, although, I do have a white streak (I'm trying to convince myself it's platinum blonde ) in my fringe plus an annoying cowslick
I'm not a huge fan of "reality"TV (don't watch TV any more now) but I have watched some of Big Brother in the past and was surprised Dirk was going to be a housemate. I did watch that series on and off, he did do really well in there and he deserved his placement, even a medal for what he had to put up with. Also, I remember that was the COOLEST entrance IMO, it had to be the A-Team van

Re: Best source?
I think I would have prefered if he had arrived by Viper... but guess that was too hard to pull off...

Heh, woulda been funny. And add to that a couple Cylons chasing him to the BB house.
I think most know him as Face though as the A-Team keeps re-running on TV in many countries. Especially the younger folks prolly don't even know there was the original BSG before the (meanwhile already 10 years old) alternate universe remake.
