New President

Do you think that if Jesus Christ himself came back from heaven he would get as much positive media coverage, have as many people come to see him as Barack Hussein Obama did today???

I am not very political, but the way I see it, this amount of idolotry and blind faith is just as dangerous as the way the people of North Korea worship Kim Jong Ill or any other dictator. I would say that no matter who was being inagurated if it had turned into the worshiping reveling sea of humanity that I saw (like 5 seconds of )today on ESPN ( sports channel) at the gym of all places.

So now we have change, but what exactly are we as Americans and as a nation supposed to change into????? If my memory serves me correctly in the 1800's weren't there a bunch of revolutions all over the world because other nations wanted to change and be like we were???

This is the core of my political belief: self determination in the context of Peace Love Hope and Faith. If I get a vote I vote that we change into more of that kind of a nation, and a less litigious / polarized / and arguementative one.

I was watching part of that early this evening on the news.
I was very, very happy when Obama got elected as President.
I think he'll be doing a lot of good things for the USA.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone

No matter what you think of Jesus / Christianity, there is a lot of truth in that simple statement. No one is without flaw. No one is without wrongdoing. No one is without sin. We should try to evolve and not hurt one another. Growing up is supposed to be an evolutionary process whereby we progress out of childish 6th grade games about who is friends with whom and who has cooties and who doesn't.
Adults are supposed to guide their children out of that BS behavior, but we are flawed ourselves as human beings in what amounts to then, the imperfect leading the unknowing.

And now this has nothing to do with Obama. I just hope people aren't disappointed when eventually he, a flawed human being like the rest of us, makes mistakes that his masterful PR team can't cover up or blame on others.

I strongly hope that the house of cards that he and his machine have so carefully built doesn't come tumbling down around them. I hope that this fragile thin line between "dictator" and "world leader" is tread with the care that a tightrope walker would show. I do have hope Nacky, and I put my hope forward that this new administration is able to find their voice, and back it up with the actions of their convictions, in a constitutionally restricted manner. Again in a spirit of individual rights freedom and equality in the context of love hope faith and peace.
