LEGEND SOCCER COMPANY
Do you like soccer (or, as the rest of the world calls it, football)? Dirk does in a big way, and it has become a family affair.

Dirk's son Roland and 2 friends have started Legend Soccer Company,  developing innovative, sustainable soccer gear (and only soccer gear). Learn about Legend Soccer Company at the link above. Dirk not only endorses Legend Soccer, he's involved with it - "and not only because Roland is my son."

Here is a model of the good, the bad, and the ugly that I drew tonight on a whim:

I don't have the passion or patience to be an arteest, but I can draw geometric shapes in understandable combinations. The highly symbolic approach usually works a little better in the form of poetry; in other words, I think an explanation of this dynamic doodle is in order:

Perfection

Posted 04-28-2017 at 05:44 PM by Ludlum'sDaughter14

Perfection. It's an elusive ideal, but that doesn't diminish its effect on everything and everyone in this world. As a disillusioned perfectionist in a family of perfectionists, I should know.

For the sake of argument, I'm going to put forth the following theory: Everyone is looking for perfection.

Recovery

Posted 04-10-2017 at 10:56 PM by Ludlum'sDaughter14

Tonight I was out alternately jogging and walking. When I reached a straight, flat road (much of my usual course involves hills), I ran. I've walked and run there often, but that night as I came into the clearing, Orion, standing upright, burst into my view so suddenly I had to stop. In...

How Much is Enough?

Posted 02-07-2017 at 08:10 AM by Ludlum'sDaughter14

You know you've written enough, not once you've reached a certain word count, but once you've said everything you need to say.

You know you've eaten enough, not once your plate or the table are empty, but once you are no longer hungry.

You know you've slept enough, not once you reach a round number of hours, but once you awaken refreshed.

You know you've loved enough, not once your relationship lasts for a year or ten or once you've completed a friendship...
