New Year Resolutions

I'm keeping some of my New Year's Resolutions and there are more to come!
1. Talk more with my family and friends.
2. Not be so hard on myself.
3. Try to make new friends.
4. Become rich *OK...that's a bit far fetched as they say, but, it's work a try!

*say... this is blog number 13 and 13 is one of my lucky numbers!*

I have three resolutions that I will post here:
The first is to run further and faster than I already can (I'm working toward being able to run a strong marathon in 2010 yes I know I am slow, but slow and steady progress doesn't get you injured) The second is to make sure I don't get sick or injured so that I don't have to take a break from running. The third is to really study, understand, and internalize the principles and the theorems of daoist ( mb) philosophy. These are in no particular order of importance, just as they came to me.... Thanks for the opportunity to share Peace Love Hope Faith and bancha SS Bibbi, I must say that your resolutions are much nicer than mine..... |

I'm kind of in-between - I don't make resolutions - for much the same reason as Tracy

This is a great idea for a Blog & Commentary, thanks BiBinut!
Well I don't usually make formal New Year Resolutions, but looking back and reflecting on last year: a) 20 months into (trying to achieve) a macrobiotic lifestyle; I'm more aware of how my body reacts to things, and I can tell it is happier with this, and so I think it will stay! b) Joined a gym - yes I actually joined it instead of paying a casual member's entrance fee - and I do miss it when I haven't been! Again, I hope this stays. c) Started volunteering - finally putting my time where my mouth is - early days still, but rewarding! d) Managed to save enough to ditch the old jallopy and get myself a new car - finally no excuses for not visiting afar friends - hope to do some serious catching up on that this year! And what of this year? Well I've got my 'ideas' but I don't want to verbalise them yet, I'd rather 'walk the walk' than 'talk the talk'! ![]() |

EDIT - I don't think this is the right forum to espouse views on the deaths of Israelis and Palestinians!

Nacky - That's hilarious! The whole world (may be not US media?) is headlining the conflict in Gaza, but when you mention Israel, you're (of course!) referring to something else, which you don't bother to reference or expand on in your comment, just expect everyone to know what you're talking about!
BiBiNut - v sorry you're lovely positive blog got hijacked! ![]() I guess (for us all?) it might be time for us each to turn the blog moderation on again? ![]() EDIT - there's a facility for commentators to edit their messages. I would be most happy to edit this and my previous one if Nacky wishes to expand her comment for clarification. Peace and best wishes all! |
