Hi Jules!!
Wow... mmmmhhhhhh!!!!!!

What do you do in your country for Easter?

03-18-2008, 01:37 PM
Well, over here some people go to church at Easter or spend time with their families. Perhaps similar to how you spend Easter in Italy:confused:

Yes Jules, here it's the same.
As you know Italy is a very Catholic country.. so Easter is quite important here.

As far as I'm concerned, I must confess that I feel much more detached from religion than some years ago, cause I feel very very disappointed by our Church and by the Vatican. It's having in my opinion a bad influence on my country: the intention is to bring it back to the Middle Age. I can't accept it..
I believe in freedom of speech, of thought and of religion...;)

I must admit I don't go to church very often. Sometimes I might go to a christmas carol service or when they have a flower festival....But, other than that not very often at all;)

that's quite normal I think, Jules..

In Italy the relationship with the Church is a bit different than in Europe, cause we've got the Pope here and the Vatican policy is really vexing our country..
I was a "good Catholic"(;)) when I was younger, but now I'm seeing our Church authorizing awful deeds of their members and then condemning all those persons who think different. It seems a spiritual and sometimes political dictatorship. So I'm living a period of rebellion against that all.

Anyway, that doesn't involve faith.. so happy Easter!!:)

We used to decorate the house, color Easter eggs and hide them - the whole 9 yards when my son was little. Now - I'll probably fix something a little more fancy for dinner when my brother comes down, that's about it. Amazing how many holidays revolved around my son, and now that he's grown, it's just another day...

Hi friends,
I had so much work this week, can't write a bit here.

Yes, a lot of bunnies are in my house too, plush and chocolate bunnies ;)
Now, I will have 4 days free, I mean not work!

In Germany we have today "The Beginning of Spring", well in the morning
it was freezing and all white, noooo spring!

This year Easter is very early but I love Easter :). I bought a big
chocolate-egg with something in it (for girls). Called "Überraschungsei".
Well, it's for kids but "big kids" love them too, it's very funny to open the
big egg, for me it's tradition!:) (blush)

To ALL, have a wonderful Easter!

Many Greetings
