View Full Version : Christmas music.( or dbuk christmas jukebox- with lily)
I love Christmas music, the hymns, 70s glam rock, Bing and Dean Martin.
I mentioned in a previous post that Slade's Merry Christmas to me almost our national song.
Bing and david Bowie doing 'drummer boy'
Silent night is my absolute favourite carol.
Would dbuk (su) do the honours and put on Slade and oh of course the wombles 'wombling merry christmas' and Wizzards i wish it could be christmas everyday which the 70s are the best decade for christmas rock and pop music in the uk.
Future requests Jona lewie and 'stop the cavalry' and Shaky's, 'merry christmas everyone'
Thank you.
And I would love to hear any popular songs that you love please, hymns ,traditional, pop etc.
thanks for reading xx
Hi Lily!! Good idea, I adore Christmas music, too!!

Swedish Christmas songs are always very nice to listen to...I especially like Agnetha's version of Jingle Bells, which is called Bjällerklang. There's so much Christmas in the text as it describes the snow on the fir trees and tracks made by the sleds and riding out in the open white meadows of fresh-fallen snows. :)

I always listen to the soundtrack from A Charlie Brown Christmas when we trim the tree! :) And slightly less traditional but still one of my faves, is a Christmas album by Harry Connick Jr. 8)

I love BoneyM! Their versions of Malaika and Rivers of Babylon are great! I have those on CD of various artists and when I made my own Christmas CD a few years back that included Silent Night by Stevie Nicks among other gems, I included BoneyM's version of Auld Lang Syne to close off the CD with. It's a good CD to listen to, no matter what season.
Thanks for the vids, I'll try to get the time to view them. Cheers all!
Su!!!! Thank you so much for all the wonderful and suggestive music you share with us!!
I'll post something typical Italian tomorrow! :D
