We are experiencing a rain fall.
I live on the coast of São Paulo, and here is okay. The tragedies are taking place in Rio de Janeiro. People build their houses in inappropriate places because of their social condition.

Sounds like it was quite the experience! So glad that you had the chance to go!
I've been busy since I'm not working anymore, but my health hasn't been quite right...so, I have been taking care of myself and slowly starting to feel better...
having major dental work tomorrow, so i will be out of commission for a few more days.

Hi all! Weather is good here! My son has sprained his fingers, wearring a brace...my husbands and daughters bikes were stolen out of our yard, but we managed to find our daughters bike...hockey is on...GO HABS Go, lol! I'm a HUGE fan...graduation is coming for Kim...and busy getting my dental work done...busy, busy, busy...so, I hope everyone is doing well, and staying happy.

Have been without internet at home for almost a month  so just getting caught up. Didn't even know DBC had gone missing So anyway, I'm back - many things happening - new job (PT), new internet service, satellite tv instead of cable, yardwork, injuries... but son coming home June 5 for a week

Aw, what a nightmare! A month without internet But it sounds like you didn't get a chance to get bored. Hope things worked out ok for you in the end. Good to have you back
In other respects I'm still around and lurking, but somehow I'm still having time management problems. The days seem too short to get everything done, there's barely enough time for the 'musts' and almost no time for the 'I would like to's '
One positive thing is that my vertigo seems to have vanished completely, but the backside is that I had a lot more time when I was at home... well, can't have everything I guess.
I'm coping and it's nice to have money again. I couldn't resist spending my first money on a new camera and now I'm learning and having fun with it. Something else to spend time on, but everyone needs a hobby, right? Being a Dirk fan doesn't count for that I suppose

Must confess that I haven"t been around on the board much lately either, although there was nothing wrong with my internet. Somehow, other stuff just takes up too much time. Nice to 'see' the familiar faces here again!
Lucia, thanks for your lovely multicoloured rose! It's very pretty! (B.t.w. all the best for the Brazilean soccer team at the World Cup in South Africa. Of ocurse, I'm all for the Dutch team, but I have always loved the way Brazil plays. Especially, the upcoming game of Brazil against Portugal sounds very interesting and is definitely one I am going to watch!)
Ostarella, hope you had a wonderful week with your son (I guess he already returned home again)! Quite some changes at your end with a new job and all.
Flahs, nice to hear your vertigo is practically gone! That must be a great relief. Sure, there's less time available now with your new job and all, but a little more cash in the pocket (and no vertigo) must be wonderful!
