we talk about Dirk, but we also talk about holidays, world events and we support each other if times are good, bad or just day to day frustrations.

I live in Canada, Edmonton, Alberta....I have many friends here. It's a little slower during the summer, however, it's a lot of fun and very interresting during the fall and winter.
Many of us have children...do you?

Welcome to you, too, Caroline! Any fan of Dirk's is a fan of... I mean, you're in good company here.

Tell me, have either of you read either of Dirk's books? I'm going to be re-reading Confessions again.

And I'm not sure I'm enthusiastic about the A-Team movie. I'm absolutely horrified by some of the remakes coming out of Hollywood right now. Folks around here will tell you I'm a dyed-in-the-wool BSG fan and I'm disgusted by what they did to the franchise, so I'm not at all sure I want to see what they're going to do with The A-Team. We'll see, though.

I have to admit when Dirk mentioned his name on Sunday I had no idea who he was talking about.
But I have to agree with the statement he followed with - why oh why does hollywood keep rehashing stuff. leave the classics alone. They worked because of what they were at the time and who they starred. Remaking them just kills the memories.

Its good to see that there are other dudes on the site plus being surrounded by lovely ladies is never a bad thing.

I will be supporting the new A-team movie.. I love the original show but for me this will just be another chapter in the A-team history ..good or bad this new movie wont change the fans appreciation for the original guys.

Hey everyone!

Just joined because I had the pleasure of meeting Dirk at Supanova in Perth, Western Australia weekend before last! I've been a BSG-TOS fan since teenhood (yes, I'm a bit of an 'oldie'

) and Dirk/Starbuck was my favourite! I had an awesome discussion with Dirk while I was getting my photo taken with him about (of all things) kangaroos! Plus the fact that we Aussies are probably the only nation that eats our national emblems!

Anyway, I thought last week I saw a topic about Dirk's visit to Perth, but I can't seem to find it at the moment...

but as soon as I do, I'll put in my observations and a few pics as well!
