Re: Happy Valentine's Day, Dirk!
Wow... I don't know if I can follow up DeeBees great green poem!!!!
Happy valentines Day Dirk!!!
Thanks for inspiring me to get back on the macro / exercise train!!!
I am proud to announce that the skinny jeans I so magnificently haikued about are now in the realm of big and baggy and I am back into size 2!!!!
I have not been a size 2 since I was in high school, and well... that was a *few* years ago. And you know what, the macrobiotics made this all possible, so people if you want to be healthy again, and feel better, and have energy, and stay positive, and lose weight, go MACRO seriously.
That is the best thing I can thank Dirk for is his books which inspire me to stick with it, when my friends glare at me, and tell me to go ahead and eat some pizza or some Texas barbacue.
Today I was trying on jeans, and well, tried on the 4 and the sales lady said, I think you need a 2, I almost cried seriously..... now this may sound shallow, but I was so proud.
I want to thank particularly Tracy and Ost and DeeBee, and Asmay as they have been my strong sisters that understand the diet, the transitions etc. They are a great resource for anyone that wants to go macro. I have learned so much from you all. I love you guys!!!! Thanks for helping me be a better healthier me!!!
This is not a paid endorsement!!!! LOL
I love you all!!!
Yours in the spirit of the Kamakaze Cowgirls ( and the one true Kamakaze Cowboy) with all the credit to Peace Love Hope faith and bancha!!!!

Re: Happy Valentine's Day, Dirk and other DBC members!
Though Valentine's day is not a big deal over here, I take this opportunity to wish everyone a great day! May your dreams, romantic or otherwise, come true in the end.
And Shastastar, that's amazing, good for you! And now YOUR MB journey back into a size 2 (! ) will be MY inspiration for the coming months (since I still have to lose a few pounds ...)

Hey I didn't say I was done LOL.... but seriously with size inflation in the US, because of the expanding wastelines, and "subjective" sizing by clothing manufacturers here.... although it makes me "feel" good (I'm not going to lie LOL) clothing size has nothing to do with the reality of how healthy you are... I still have a few more pounds to lose as well......
And of course everything is as it should be where you live Asmay. I wish sometimes Valentines day was less important here in the US, and people just took it as a reminder to appreciate those that they love throughout the entire year, rather than just focusing the saccharine sweetness into one "special" day.
I have single friends PM ing me left and right feeling "bad" and "lonely" because they don't have someone. These are great women and they shouldn't feel this way because of some stupid marketing campaign.
We really should just treat everyone well all year long and not be afraid to tell each other what is on our hearts. Jessica Porter has some really good stuff on the "honesty" that comes with Macrobiotics. Maybe that's a blog......whenever I can get some time to start writing again!!!
Take it easy and all of yours in the one true forever

Re: Happy Valentine's Day, Dirk!
Not sure how 'great' that poem was - I just needed to justify e-sending such a cheap card! LOL - apparently Jonathon Ross made the same joke on Friday night using an Asda/Wal-Mart card, 7 pence! Copy-cat!
SS - thank you for your kind comments. Wow skinny jeans size 2! What happened to your J-Lo bum! I'm so envious! Not had a chance to do much gym work this semester as got 2 evening classes on during the week. But it is half-term (no classes) this week, so I'll try to go to the gym tonight!
Went out with friends Sat night and danced and hooted like everyone around us were invisible! Who cares! We had fun!
