Dirk on "Fifth Gear" 29th Sept @8pm

Dirk is on Fifth Gear on Channel 5 @ 8pm next Monday (29th Sept).
If you check out the link and go to next week's show, scroll down to bottom or play video of what's on the show....... you will see Dirk is being chauffeured in an S Class (Mercedes).......nice!!!.......can't wait!!!:D:D:D

Thanks for sharing that Ostarella;) My hubby told me that the A Team van's going to be on Fifth Gear next week, so that's why I checked out their website and found the info about the "S Class" chauffeuring......:confused: We'll have to wait and see what happens;)

There's me droning on about 'Dirk & Dwight should do Top Gear' (in another e-place), and he's already done 5th Gear (rival programme with presenters who left TG coz they didn't want to work with Jeremy Clarkson anymore :o :p - or more likely got headhunted for loads more money than the BBC could pay! ;))
Still, my suggestion for the 2 of them on TG stands (although TG might not want to do it now coz D's already just done 5G! :rolleyes:)

I'd love to see Dirk talking about his Dad's old Jags and learning to parallel park with him :) - don't know what the actual phrase is 'glide parking?', but I mean this type of parking! :))

Not sure if Dirk can beat that, but I kinda thought of this when he said in his second book (if I recall correctly?) how it came in handy when he needed to park his Porsche in a hurry getting Toni to the hospital. ;)

I've been blessed with a new (old) car I bought just last Friday - 3 yr old Audi:cool:. Trying v hard not to thrash it too much yet ;) - 6 gears! :o - so far my mileage per tank seems to have doubled compared with my old car - great for my Carbon footprint! :D Got to try to squeeze new and old car onto my driveway until I can sell the old one. I'm tempted to try parking like above videos ;) :)) ... but I think I'd need a lot of practise first before I could do that! :oops:

Re 2nd vid - yeah I agree. I think I vaguely remember seeing an A-Team video compilation on youtube with the Face's corvette doing something like that - don't know if it was Dirk, probably a stunt man instead coz of insurance? Or perhaps my memory is totally incorrect and I never saw it at all? :eek: I've just recalled seeing the same 'joke' parking on Splash (Tom Hanks/Darryl Hannah) too.

Oh, Dirk on tv at 29th Sept. I wish, I could see that. But in Germany, no :cry:

The 29th Sept.about 4 years ago I was on the set with Dirk at Goldene Zeiten. Will never forget that shooting. (I celebrate it a bit every year, blush)

Bad news - so far the thing they showed on 5th Gear last night isn't on YT yet. Haven't checked the 5G web-site yet. :oops:

Good news - that stunk, so you international fans aren't missing anything there! :o :p Not Dirk's fault! ;)
YT does have a brief interview with Dirk from 'Behind the Scenes' of 5G, which is much better than the actual thing they showed last night. :)) Here is the link!

Dirk should be a Fifth Gear presenter.......he looked like he was having such a fab time in the two Mercedes;):)) Would of loved to of seen him test drive the Porsche Cayman........;)
