I am calling out to the members to say a prayer, light a candle, send good vibes, to ALL those ( including our DB members ) in Texas who are in the path of hurricane Ike tonight. Specifically Galveston TX.

This storm is massive folks. Ike is 900 miles wide, measuring the cloud cover at its widest point. On Friday, its tropical storm-force winds extended up to 275 miles -- the length of the Texas coastline -- from its center, for a total reach of about 550 miles. It is listed as a Category 3 storm, and getting stronger.

So please, if you are a person of faith, I ask you to ask the Almighty for his mercy and shelter. If you are not, I ask that you send a good wish or a word of encouragement for those who are facing the wrath of Mother Nature.

God bless Texas and all therein tonight. If you are from Texas, I ask that you check in with us and let us know how you are doing.

Myself and my children were watching the news last night and we all sat around the tv hoping and wishing for everyone to be safe and to get as many people who stayed behind too long out...we had 4 candles going in the living room.
Prayers are a comfort for those who are worried about their loved ones, pets and their homes.
Thanks Tracy for reminding us about what is important in life...the welfare of people.

Dear Tracy
You can count on me. I will prayer asking for God's mercy on our brothers. The candles will be lit during the prayers.
There is nothing equal to the force of prayer.
Yesterday I attended a conference of Catholic charismatic renewal and asked God for us ..., the world ...
Jesus: there is power in that name.
God bless your life!

Thank you Tracy, Sharon, and Lucia Helena for your concern and your prayers. My family and I live in the Northwest of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and we're safe here. Heavy rain and strong winds on and off, but the real heavy stuff passes us to the east. We do feel, however, for those down in Houston and the coastal area who suffered immense damage.
Thank you again for caring and praying for all of us down here in Texas.
