He's the second guest ( about 20-25 mins into the show ) and speaks to host Strange Dave via phone for about an hour. Everything from Battlestar to politics.

I just spent quite an enjoyable time listening to the interview on my computer. :D
Some highlights from the interview...
Dirk was considered for the part in Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark, he also met with the director about Raiders...
He said that the main reason that the A-Team was such a hit is that is was palatable for a family. A whole family could watch it....
the A-Team was the last masculine show on TV...women secretly wanted a man like Face *I do!* ;)
one of his mentors is Gloria Swanson who died in 1982...
talks about Toni Hudson, George Peppard, Mr. T and Dwight Schultz...Shilpa Shetty...just flirted with her...nothing serious came from that...
his prostrate cancer...possibly running for Governor of Montana...
hosting cruises about macrobiotics...his two books...meeting his son John...
This was so much fun to listen to and a real treat. :)

Yes, the download was very slow and his talks was ending in the moment he
speaks of his son John. Was that really the end or did my download stop
too early?

The interview was NOT ending with Goodby or so.

The total size of the file is about 220 MB, so that might me a reason for your download problems. Petra, there was a goodbye and everthing, so your file isn't complete :( I haven't heard the whole interview yet, but it seems to be great. :)

Dirk is a very interesting guy to listen to, and very well informed about various subjects, world issues, politics, etc.
He's very passionate about certain issues, and it comes through in the interview.
I will be interested to see if he decides to enter the race for Montana Govenor in the future and the changes he would like to implement in his native state.

When I hear the interview with windows media player the timecounter
said 1hour 28 sec. Maybe this is the full version?

I would be really happy, to hear the full version, but I think the
end of the interview isn't download.

Mayby anybody has an idea? Tracy?

Can someone please help me with this because I downloaded the show that lasts 45 minutes but Dirk only appears at the last couple of minutes so it ends just as he starts talking!?

I had the same type problem - in my case, the connection was "timing out", so I had to keep clicking on the download to keep it "active" (you can tell I'm really into computer magic, can't you? :p) until the whole thing downloaded. Otherwise I got a message saying it had downloaded but was really only getting part of it. :( A rather boring process but at least I have the whole thing now...

How to use the podomatic player...

(1) Go to the ON DEMAND LINK at strangedaveshow.com
(2) The podomatic player is on the top of the page, it says PODOMATIC on the player
(3) On the player, scroll down to the DIRK BENEDICT show and PRESS PLAY

Presto...you are now streaming the show...hope this helps...let me know if there are any other problems...

I FINALLY got sound back on my computer and was able to download and listen to it.

I think my favorite bit was the story about his son John having people call him 'Faceman' in college. That was a really nice story.

you know it's funny when he talks conversationally he re-starts-stutters-and talks over himself so often I think an actor would be the last job I'd suspect him of having *L*

But then it's very 'real" and personable and you can tell the more excited and passionate he is about something because he'll talk over himself and trip up more and more. He's not secretly left handed is he 'cause that's a left handed speech issue so I've been told :p

Can I say I really loved listening to Dirk.......It was nice to hear from him:D:D:D Wasn't it spooky his son was refered to as
