I just picked up the new Starbuck figure from Joyride Studios. More like small plastic statue, as the articulation is limited. But the likemness is decent
He comes with a paser pistol that fits in a holster, a helmet and a stand I strongly advise NOT to put his helmet, as you might scrape paint off his face
Theres also Apollo, Adama, Serena and two Cylons: Gold and silver. A Viper in three paint styles exist, and a Cylon Raider in two style. I may or may not get Apollo, as I am rather unhappy with Richard Hatch these days.
I also have the old Mattel Starbuck and the Trendmasters Starbuck of the 90s, which was based off the comic book line at the time. The Trendmasters one is kinda wacky, as he has a sound chip that yells "YEE-HAAA!!! Blast 'em!" and two comically oversized blasters. But I still like it, worth getting for any discriminating Starbuck fan. Can sometimes be found on Ebay.
Trivia note: The body for the Mattel Starbuck was later re-used as the body for the 3 3/4" Mork figure.

I bought the Joyride figures Starbuck and Apollo two days ago in Germany. They are great! They seem to be alive in their action poses.
The silver Cylon is O.K too, the Cylon Raider and the older Version of the Viper are very detailed, but the color is too dark.

Joyride Starbuck also has his fingers posed in such a way that if you were to make a tiny replica cigar he could hold it in that hand
maybe out of brown baking clay or something. Chop the tip off and paint it grey.
You mean the Viper or the Raider is too dark? If you mean the Raider theres supposed to be a dark version out.

The Cylon Raider and the Colonial Viper look darker than seen in the TV-Show. But they are good and detailed models and, I know, sometimes the colors You see on TV depend on the TV-Station, the quality of the mterial they broadcast and the region where You live... - At the moment we can see reruns of the Battlestar Galactica original series and 1980th series on TV in Germany!
The Colonial Viper of the Blue Squadron by Joyride (I saw it, but did not buy it, because I have the darker verson from Joyride Series 1 at home) looks much better.

There are 4 Action Figures made by Majestic Studios - two of them, Apollo and The Cylon are available now (in Germany, and so I think, You can buy them in the U.S. too), Starbuck and Adama are planned for November...

They just announced plans for 12" GINO figures.
Id prefer they were the size of the TOS figures. That way I could have Starbuck plug holes in Kara Thrace. "YEE-HAAA!!! Blast 'em!"
And for the record I dont wish harm on the woman who plays Kara. Even though I dislike her attitude towards TOS fans.

The version of Majestic Studios is supposed to be available this month, but i don't have the official information. This company is weird, there is no information about the release of Starbuck and Adama in their web site.

Amazon.com has Starbuck & Adama listed, but they're still not yet available. I requested an email notification when they are availble. I noticed that Majestic also has plans for 12" figures for Boomer and Athena. I currently have the 12" Cylon Centurion & Apollo, Joyride's Apollo & Starbuck, the blue squadron viper, and the Mattel 4" starbuck. I actually would like to see a 12" Kara Thrace figure produced. The 12" Starbuck would either put the moves on her, shoot her for using his name, or possibly both. My wish list for future BSG 12" releases:
Tigh
Cassie(med tech uniform)
Cassie(solcialator)
Cassie(raid on Gammoray)
Serina(warrior's uniform)
Cain
Sheba(warrior's uniform)
Sheba(raid on Gamoray)
Baltar
Lucifer
Imperious Leader

Adama .. it's the worst action figure in this series ... it's not Lorne Greene and the clothes are awful! :x

I'm thinking they might have had issues with getting the Greene family to give the okay to use his likeness.

Maybe... but his uniform is really ugly! :?
