I've never, drunk much alcohol...but I find now that if I have a glass of wine, I feel quite ill. My pulse rate goes up..much as it did years ago after eating a steak , ( I don't eat meat at all, now ). Could it be the sugar, in alcohol ? I don't eat any sugar or products with sugar in so the only ones are the natural sugars in fruit., etc. So..one, glass of wine about once a month, or even less..has gone down to zero. Does anyone know anything about alcohol affecting people like..an excess of sugar ?

It depends on the sugar content of the wine.
As for myself, I always drink wine that is a sugar content of 0-1 at the highest.
Check for that when you buy or are drinking wine.

Thanks, Anne. I've noticed that red wine has that effect more than does white, wine. Ah well ! :D
