I have sent a few hours looking for somewhere to buy the DVD of Goldene Zeiten in the UK -with no success. Found only one, site -which my card company refused to let me buy from. ( A security thingy came onscreen saying -insecure site) Hmmn! Found the movie site though. The film didn't do good business aparently, but it looks fantastic, for Dirk fans and I like the music, too. Has anyone in the UK managed to get a copy ?

Hi Genny! :D
Try Amazon.
This is the site of Amazon in Germany, it's available there.
That's where my cousin got it for me, she lives in Germany.

Thanks, Anne..I'll try that. I found the German Amazon site last night, and struggled to remember three years of German classes forty years ago in school ! Am going to try it when I'm awake -ie before, midnight tomorrow. Ie not half asleep)

I viewed the little snippet on Youtube and was surprised that they were speaking English with German subtitles. So now I'm confused a bit (nothing unusual about that, though). Was the Youtube specially done that way, or are Dirk's scenes in English? My German is *very* rusty, which is why I've hesitated looking for the DVD myself, but if the "important" parts are in English, that paints a whole 'nother picture
Without giving anything away, Dirk essentally plays two characters. One of the characters (John Striker) speaks English and his other character speaks German. And there are subtitles all the way through.
I can imagine that the film is not for everybody but I really liked it. Would definitely reccomend :D

Okay, thanks :D I want to get a copy someday but was worried I wouldn't be able to understand what was going on.
Oh you definitely will. Also, the Dirk extras are worth buying it for if you have the patience to sit through stuff you don't understand - they made me laugh anyway. Have you ever seen any of Guy Ritchies films? (If you have have and enjoyed them, then you will most likely love this)
