I know what you mean Crazy Tommy T.... In the UK, it was just great to see him so publicly and everyday! We knew exactly where he was and what he was doing and he didn't let me down one bit!
I just hope that he's relaxing some place and enjoying not having camera's on him and not having to listen to those "Girls". But I want to see more of him, somewhere!
What I feel is weird is that BB didn't show the final night on the tv. Usually the day after evictions/final they have another show, to show you what went on, on the Sunday. Unless you saw the live feed, you didn't see the dominos task and they didn't show much of Saturday with the movie task and the faxes.

I thought that was odd as well. I would have liked to have seen how they spent their final day in the house :?
My other half and I have been rewatching our A Team dvds lately - maybe doing that would help your withdrawal symptoms?!

Hi everyone!
Let's not forget Dirk in "Battlestar Galactica". :D
I too am a fan of the A-Team.
But, I like Dirk as "Starbuck" the best. :D
check out: www.battlestargalacticaclub.com
That's where I get my Starbuck fix! :D :D
take care,
Anne :)

oh god i totally agree with the withdrawl thing... he almost became a part of the household lol...
me my mum and my brother all watched it and my mother is no fan of celebrities at all but she really liked Dirk..i miss his quick wit and sarcasm/self deprecation.
ive been searching the press after but its all about Shilpa and little concerning Dirk. I did read on the BBC that Dirk has spoken in defence of Danielle and Jade which to me shows just what a gentleman he is.

Alaska is a fun film. The scenery is just breathtaking (much like the state itself). Some of the story is a bit hokey and kid centered (which is why my 5 yr. old loves it). It's got a nice mix of family themes, adventure, decent cinematography, and humor.

Since I'm having withdrawl too, the one liners were just too good. Anyway, I just went looking to see if any interviews turned up today, I'll share something nice I happened upon:
http://www.starpulse.com/Actors/Benedict,_Dirk/gallery/SPX-004241/
Nice photo of Dirk after leaving the house. The man looks good in black.
**hopes he writes another book soon, or does a movie, or TV or something**
Hi jewels.
On the BBC interview he did, Dirk mentioned that he was thinking of writing another book, and he would talk about his Big Brother experience in it. I hope he does!

That actually showed this film on Channel 4 whilst he was in the house.
Actually Dirk was talking about this film in BB. Well he was talking about being in New Zealand filiming with Charlton Heston and I can only assume it's Alaska.
It is more of a kids film, but worth a watch!
I'm currently waiting for Alaska to be delivered from Amazon. Haven't seen it in a LONG time - am really looking forward to watching it again.

Hope you enjoy it; I got my copy 4 years ago, signed by the man himself (don't mean to sound smug, but it's a great read). :D

I'm assuming he's back in Montana now - have looked for magazine articles/interviewsbut can't find anything. Don't know if this will work ( I'm no Crazy Tommy T!) but below is link to really nice radio interview Dirk did in 2005 when he was in the UK

Thanks for posting that. I always love to read his interviews. :D

You're right, Lynne, it is a nice interview.
Thanks to you, in Scotland, for posting it so that I, in Reading, can read an interview that took place just down the road.

Frankly I am disappointed at how little of Dirks films and programmes have been on UK TV since his coming here. Am suffering serious withdrawl and if it wasn't for this site would have possibly chewed my own arm off in frustration by now.

Well the A-Team is on UKTVGOLD everyday and practically has been for the last 15 years. Battlestar Galactica is currently showing on the Bravo channel, and Alaska and Abduction of Innocence have both been shown on other channels.

I've seen Alaska been shown a couple of times, gonna have to look out for Abduction of Innocents!
Hey I got my boxset of BSG today which I got a bargain off of Ebay! :D I did watch it as a kid, but more so, The A Team, so it's more new to me! I am in love with Starbuck too  Dirk seems to play this complicated characters very well :D

Finished reading the book last night. I am already thinking about what I am eating. I may start with brown rice, but not sure I can give up my chocolate just yet LOL. I am not a fan of Doctors, and have on a number of occasions cured myself with alternative treatment.

the things people will do! Some paparazzi type is trying to sell a photo from the link I posted on Dirks visist to Swindon in 2005 suggesting that the photo is from last Sunday night - post exit from the BB House. The photo will still sell without having to tell such porkies ! I have challenged its authenticity but the seller assures me that he was there and got Dirk to sign it - the fact that Dirk is in a t- shirt (January in the UK ??)and in broad daylight obviously doesn't phase this guy!!
:( hi iv ordered confessions to so im looking forward to that coming,iv also bought a couple of nice photos from e.bay(which im having framed much to the horror of my patner).we also have this so we can all keep up to date with anthing dirk is up to.

Yeah I kinda missed the whole BB thing and recently there was alot of hoopla over BB here and I'm not clear on the details only that someone won that acted all messed up and rude. I don't watch so I got this via some other forums I belong to and there was a big stink over who eventually won it. So my question is; did Dirk come in second place or third? I know this was back in the beginning of the year and has nothing to do with the recent BB, I just wanted to know how that one turned out... :?:

I was gutted when it ended, no more Dirk and his pearls of wisdom and great humour. Things went a little flat for a while.
Theres a few clips on youtube to remind yourself.

Thanks Dave...but who won the money in the end? Just curious is all, not wanting to upload alot of vids while I'm working on backing tracks for something else, you understand? :)
He came in third. He was beaten by Jermaine Jackson and Shilpa. Most of us avid viewers thought dirk should have won.

Oh, he would have hands down if it hadn't been for Jade et al and their shenanigans.

He sure would've. I think Shilpa had the potential to come across as annoying but I felt she was not able to be herself until later on in the series because she was repressed by the bullying. Had the show gone on any longer, I think we would've seen more of the real Shilpa. But I am not saying she is good or bad, I haven't got a clue because I was not given the opportunity to see. And Jermaine only came second because of his brother - did you see the amount of Michael orientated support in the crowd outside the house? Rather sad for Jermaine. Officially, Dirk came 3rd but I think he has done better than that. Example of David Gest on I'm A Celebrity who came 4th - I sometimes have to think to remember who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd on that show.
The things I remember about CBB was the race row and Dirk being his intelligent, charming, witty self. I don't remember much of anyone else.
BTW, anyone seen the news that Shilpa is doing a tour of a dancing/musical show?

I've only in these past couple months just been aware of and seen footage of Dirk's Celebrity Big Brother, so I was also way behind everyone else in having withdrawal symptoms. But I can't find any more footage, so I'm now suffering the loss...

I watched it from the beginning!

oH WOW! That means the withdrawal effects are long lasting!!! Obviously at least 3 years!!!! I'm doomed! :))
I've watched everything about it I could find on YOUTUBE, mainly the highlight shows and the Dirk parts uploaded (thank goodness) by a KingsPotter10. I've exhausted all that footage tho, and really regret not seeing most of the live run. I've been reading the appreciation/whatm threads at Digital Spy Forums and am so mad at myself for missing all those live moments that weren't shown on the HighLights shows.
I can't believe in this day and age of the internet, with all that information at my fingertips, I still miss BIG STUFF like that! *kicks self repeatedly*
