Hi! Great i've found this site! I should have had it 20 years ago but there was no inernet yet then....
I'm just turned 33 . I live in the Netherlands and my friend bought me the DVDcollection of BG a few months ago having heard all the stories about how i loved it when i was about 10 (i think , not sure when BG came on Dutch tv) . Battlestar Galactica was my whole world then! Every week i sat in front of the tv waiting for BG to come on screen and then the rest of the week thought and dreamt about it. Me and my friend drawed the battles between the vipers and the cylons on wallpaper (too bad we don't have them anymore) and played we were in a viper when riding our bike , setting off the turbo! ...
But most of all i was madly madly in love with STARBUCK. I had posters and pictures of him on my wall an used to dream away looking at it. I believed 'Starbuck' was for real (although ofcourse i knew his real name was Dirk but that doesn't matter in a child's mind i guess  ) , living out there somewhere and i so much wanted to live in the Galactica! I had a great time.... Until the serie stopped and that hurted.
But some years later , me a little older ( a real teenage girl) , surpirise....!... He was making his appaerance in The A-team. Although i must say i loved BG as a serie more then The A team (i just love the mystic of Sci-Fi) i was stilled hooked and bought every magazine with them in it. I did love the Face- character . They even came to visit my country one time! Unfortunately i didn't have the chance to go and see them then. I still have my book i made with pictures and posters in it from The A-team and BG and it brings back memories of a very good time.
Now i feel a little teenage -girl again watching the DVD and and yes feel some butterflies for Starbuck again. Isn't that great! (No i don't do the bike-thing anymore but it's nice to think back at that memorie) Well , everyone has a hero i guess. I think i'm probably not the only girl back then kissing his poster goodnight every night..! :D
So the DVD was a great gift and it made me surf the internet and find this site! The documentary on the DVD is really great to watch and on this site i've found much more information about Dirk.
I'm sorry, long story....but i had to share it...
Keep up the good work!
Martine
