Happy belated birthday to everyone.

Julie - Feb. 3rd, 1972

I even remember my birth certificate saying that I was born at 7:02 *AM*. So apparently I was a morning person during labor....and NEVER AGAIN SINCE!!!! LOL!!!!

BTW, Christy, it's like I told my best friend from high school *last* year on her 34th birthday (her's was the 2nd of this month) that birthdays are just a reminder of how long you have been on this earth. It should never be taken *too* seriously (especially if one looks at it negitively - which obviously you're not.:-)

I will add your b-days to the top post.

I think my certificate says I was born around 12 pm...
My mother tells me the story of my birth over and over again.

"I was in hospital and your sister was calling over and over again, getting on my nerves, because she always wanted to know, if you're already there. And when I rang off, I suddenly felt the pains. I coincidentally met an old friend of mine in the hallway whose wife was pregnant, too and who helped me out, because your father was still at home doing the modifications on our house and it was too late for him to come in time..."

... I hear this really almost every Saturday

Mine is on Feb 20. I'll leave out the year, but I'm in my early 50's. :)

Cool stuff - I had a friend of mine living with me last year, her birthday is the same day, just 9 years before mine.

I like this, thanks, MontanaCowgirl! Now I'll have to update my calendar with the dates so I don't miss them. :)

Hey all, I'd give my birthdate but I'd be a target so-to-speak. So let's see what the future brings and maybe I'll feel safer then. Besides, I rarely remember it myself. :P

Christmas baby indeed! My mother was pickled out of dinner that year. She has always worked very hard to keep Christmas and my birthday seperate. Birthday parties in the early afternoon, Christmas parties at night, and Christmas dinner the next day. Don't know how she did it. Two days of presents and parties. What more could a girl ask for!?

I don't mind giving the year away. I'm 40 years young! I have the skin of a 20 year old because I've never smoked (anything) never did drugs and I never drink. I never drank because I never developed a taste for it. Soda has been my vice and I don't really drink that because of the sugar. I don't like sugary things in general. I grew up on hearty meals like fish and veggies, beans and kielbasa/sourkraut. I don't eat red meat but very rarely and then I gotta have it cooked, like well-done cooked! Dirk is always young and his skin glows...now there's a healthy guy!

1966 - Sign of Virgo (I'm just not ready to open up too much - it's NOTHING to do with you guys at all)

Sure! My father's b-day is on Dec 26th, so it's almost the same (almost).

Thank goodness!

I'm not a big fan of snow. It's why I live where I do - you don't have to shovel rain.

I'm old - well, sort of. I'm older than most of you, anyway. The only reason I acknowledge birthdays at all is because I still enjoy getting presents.

Colorado? How could you leave Colorado? It's my favorite state... one of my favorite states *G* Do you know a place called "Dillon"? It's wonderful! Its surroundings reminded me a little of Bavaria. I wish I could spend a winter season in Dillon one day. In summer there are always free open-air concerters. I saw "Chris Daniels And The Kings", a Dutch band.

I love the Rockies! I'd like to visit Telluride one day. It's the #1-Colorado-meeting-place for all mountaineers (and some actors, too - Jack Nicholson has 2 houses in Telluride). Mountaineer prefer to call it "To Hell You Ride", because some of them die in the mountains.

We actually lived north of Durango Colorado....our house was in the Animas Valley and we had national forest for a back yard.....our house was on the side of the mountains

....a lot of celebs hang out in Durango as well.....it was a favorite place for Robert Redford....in places like that you learn to treat them just like everyone else...they are usually there to just enjoy the town/eating place or whatever brought them there....you just get used to it

....as for Telluride we would go 4-wheeling over Rico Pass it is a very tough pass that leads off the back side of Purgatory (now called Durango) Mountain and comes out in Telluride (this is one of the reasons that it has the name-"To Hell You Ride")(we never used real 4-wheel drive vehicles though....it was more fun to use regular small cars...& more of a challenge...although people thought we were nuts....and we were/are  )

...it is an incredible place....as for why we left....it was a very hard thing to do :(

....we left to attend Seminary in Kentucky and we never got to move back....3 of our 4 kids now attend the undergraduate college associated with the Seminary.....maybe someday we can return to the west

....untill then we escape the city as much as possible and backpack/camp as much as possible

The West is flat. Most of it. The mountains are small areas compared to the overall landmass. Northern Wyoming is great, southern Wyoming is desolate. That long 400 + mile ride from one end to another is draining. Texas - I have to agree that it's just flat. Big and lots of nothing. I got addicted to the green to really be too fond of the West. Where Donna lived was an exception. Colorado & Wyoming is weird because all their scenery is situated in the North, the southern halves are blah. Don't even get me started on New Mexico!

See now I like Kentucky. I liked Lexington...but that was probably because of the superb German festivities they'd have out there. Oktoberfest.

Ok, you guys are just making me jealous! I've never even had a chance to SEE the rockies. I've never even been out west. The midwest is where I was born and raised and STILL live.:-( The funny thing is - I've lived in the city all my life but something tells me I don't fit in here. Oh, I can survive in the city just fine....but give me a choice and I'll choose the country and/or a small town anyday. Maybe I'm crazy but I guess that's been proven at times anyway so nothing new there.:-D

(However, I must say that I would demand cable and internet connection. What can I say....some things you just get used to and don't want to give up)

I'd really like to move to the US one day. So far I've been to California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Nebraska really sucks... very, very flat land. Texas is great, even though the people are crazy, haha. I could feel this right when we crossed the border... suddenly I bagan to think crazy, too. I love California + Colorado best... but on the other hand, I love ALL OF THEM ;)

I have to say I LOVE MONTANA. I live on the west coast in Canada. My kids and I drove to Montana and saw Bigfork, Kalispell, Polson, and other areas around the lake. It is some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. The only thing better than that is the people. They are friendly and go out of their way to help you. I was offered a job while I was there If I could have figured out a way to make it work............. Ah well, hopefully someday. Dirk made me want to see Montana now I can't get enough of it. The locals think very highly of him to as we all do.

I have not traveled to much. Mostly the surrounding states ( Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin) and Canada of course. Every picture I has ever seen of the west coast is BEAUTIFUL.
( not the big cities, to busy and crowded ) I would love to move out that way. A ranch for my horse, a cabin for me, and a nice snow capped mountain for trail riding.
*Sorry my mind started to wonder off in wishful thinking. *

Michigan is not to bad on the eyes either. The upper peninsula is littered with waterfalls nestled in deep pine forests. It's heaven for wildlife. And our wolf population is thriving. :) (They were re-introduced to the U.P. several years back due to our lack of natural preditors.) We have even had sightings of Puma here in the lower peninsula. The sighting was only a few miles from my boarding facility so now the horses are brought in at night. I live in a suburb just outside of Bay City and we have coyotes, whitetail deer, skunks, racoons, fox, and opossium. It's almost like living upstate only without the wolves and blackbear. The U.P. is known as "Gods country" around Michigan. Everyone knows exactly what your talking about when you say that.
We have Sleeping Bear Dunes ( giant sand dunes ), Mackinaw Island, Frankenmuth. People from all around the world travel to Frankenmuth ( Little Bavaria ). I can't see why, but they do. Bronner's is huge! ( It's a christmas store with everything you could imagine. They carry items from everywhere.) Then there is Detroit. Michigan can not be described without Detroit. Ranked #2 for most dangerous cities. It's really not that bad. I travel there alot with my Hubby. There is a Huge military base there & he has to go down several times a year for training exercises. Lots of men in uniform. A woman could go blind with so much oogleing. And not to forget the Mackinaw bridge. It connects the upper and lower pennisulas. The bridge is often closed on windy days. Small cars have blown off of it. Lots to see, come visit! :D

I think I have been to almost all of the US states.....including Alaska & Hawaii....and I have been to Japan, Korea, & Canada....it is funny when you really start the list how it adds up....the SW part of Colorada still hold my heart but the mountains in Korea were great as well....

Hello to all! I just recieved your Birthday wishes. THANK YOU!! :D
I had a very busy day. My Mom makes me lunch every year. Then we make cookies. She bought me a really long scarf. It hangs to my knees!
Also I will be getting a new horse! I am SOOOOOO excited. She is a Standardbred. A chestnut (all red). Scarlet Passion. Her name suits her. I am looking forward to training her, as she has spent life as a brood mare. The show ring will be quite a change for her.

Thank You again for the good wishes! :)
