On Saturday I received my Goldene Zeiten Deluxe Edition.
This Film and the Bonus DVD are so great! The Bonus DVD has a very
interesting interview with Dirk Benedict. Making of scenes, behind the
scenes, deleted and extended scenes, many more and the
Dirk Benedict German speak Parts.
I admire it very much that he learned German for this film!
In the movie he also talk a few parts in english.
If anybody in the US has a codefree player, this is the one and only film! :D

Has Dirk been dubbed in the German language parts?
Petra

Yes, in the movie it is not his really voice in german.
Only the Bonus DVD has a Part with his german voice.
AND HIS GERMAN IS VERY GOOD!!! :D

What? When Douglas watches TV in the golf club suite the reporter woman says Douglas Burnett is from the A-Team... I thought they say only John Striker who has nothing to do with the A-Team. Uhm... :?:

Luck for you English speaking fans! The DVD has English subtitles!
...and now my opinion of Mr. Burnett... I'm so glad this was only a role he was playing, if Faceman had turned out to be like the real actor (Burnett) of John Striker... ay,ay,... get out! But Dirk did a real great job in the film indeed!

Dirk said in an interview of Goldene Zeiten, he quit smoking after the A-Team, but started smoking for Goldene Zeiten again... was this meant ironically? Thought he has always been smoking. :?:

Watched Goldene Zeiten yesterday, and it was very funny.
It's funny to see Dirk in a German movie, when you're used to see him in American movies and series. Different style of movie. Different type of humor. Different settings. Of course at least one naked woman every 10 minutes.
But he was perfect for the role. I can't imagine that Don Johnson etc. would have fitted better for this role.
If you give him a costume and a sigar you immediately have the faceman looks back. "You can run, but you can't hide."
Of course the role of Douglas Burnett was completely different than the role of Face or Starbuck. Realy want to see him play the bad guy in Earthstorm.
Hope he give us some more acting in the future.

On imdb, this movie has the certificate 16 (Germany). I was wondering what is that the British version of that certificate. I'm guessing 15 but want to make sure so i know who else in the household can watch it. And these naked women; are they fully naked or do they still have underwear on?

Barbara, if you buy one make sure you have a DVD player that will play the PAL format, otherwise you may be a little disappointed, especially with the exchange rate.

i've only just seen the trailer for this film which looks very good. Does Dirk get high in it  because he's in his dressing gown standing next to a car with the press taking photos. Hope to order it online soon.
I have just seen this film and really enjoyed it despite the language not being my mother tongue. There is a bit too much going on in the film and too many characters but Dirk is great in it, very funny ... that is if you don't mind him sending himself up too much. I was very disturbed by the hair scenes but it is definitely worth a watch. Some good scenes for those that fancy Dirk too

I guess that this film is not suitable for all family members?

Hi starlight! :D
I'm getting this movie from my cousin when she comes to visit me from Germany.
Goldene Zeiten is an "adult" film.
German actually is my mother tongue, didn't speak English until I was about five, enough though I was born in Canada.
I have dual citizenship. German and Canadian, both my parents were from Germany.
Dirk is German too, he birth name is Niewoehner! :D
take care,
Anne :)

Erm no, definitely do not watch it with children.
It's a bit like a guy ritchie film if you have ever seen those (but the Dirky scenes are a bit ruder)
