View Full Version : Dirk Questions?

I got to ask does Dirk own another set of clothes besides that denim shirt and those tan corduroy pants? Honestly I think that outfit is glued to him LOL!

So one wonders what kind ring that is he always wears on the ring finger of his left hand, football, college? Well it ain't no wedding ring. Hmmm

OMG! did you guys see him in Bring Back The A-Team . I saw white hair. If that man goes snow white i'll faint or for that matter bald again. Hair and with color looks good on the man.

I would say Dirk is a prime canidate for the ultimate make over show? I'd love to see what they could do with him. I think Dirk would have fun with it. It would make him feel special like on camera make-up.

Are we having fun yet? :D

Makeover?! I think the man looks just fine as is...mighty fine :D

I couldn't possibly imagine Dirk ever doing a "makeover".

He looks wonderful just the way he is. :)

I can see him do it. Dirk's a big ham. You can see that on Bring Back The A-teams reunion segment. He hamed it up good with Dwight. And still joked about and no make-up? If the on -camera make-up dosen't bother him, or shaving his head or even putting up with the blond high lights in his hair for so many years. I think he would have tons of fun with it. Hey why not? :D

Yeah sure why don't we get Dirk to dye his hair and wear actor makeup so he can go out to the grocery store and chop wood.

This thread is ridiculous.

Oh I didn't realize there was any fun in it. I thought you were making a serious request to have Dirk change his looks because you think he can look "better".

It amazes me. How people care what he wears, or want to know the history of a ring he's wearing? Or his hair. Oh God the hair thing!! How does it better one's life to know the answer to these mundane things????????

The man has written some very profound and helpful words via his books!! He's a cancer survivor, a single father, he's had tragedy and shared it with the world to HELP others!! And people care about talking about the damned hair......

He's not a 70's pinup!!

Rant over.

My apologies! I was merrily joking around. I didn't mean any harm. Just trying to kick up conversation. not ranting at all or being nasty at all. Life isn't fun with out jokes. I can tell Dirk is perfecttly happy and dosen't give A hoot what anyone says. Neither do I . I like who I am. That's the most important thing in life. :D

he always had the looks. 30 year ago, 20 year ago, 10 year ago, today.

it's normal people sometimes have strange questions. they sometimes just pop up in your head. last week i was watching the a-team, and for some stupid reason i suddently had the silly question: would he colour his hear?

I know it's a stupid question. I know it's a little inappropriate to ask (i don't need an answer  ). but you're thinking about how he survived cancer, and still looks so great. of course it has nothing to do with the essence of what he wrote in his books, etc., and iI can't imagine asking him when he visites a convention. but for some stupid reason, i suddenly asked myself this question.

i doesn't better one's life, but i think such silly things can happen with all the people you meet, see,...

Well I'm glad you were able to find out what the gallery glitch was because Darrell and I couldn't figure out for the life of us why you couldn't see it when we all could :)

I'm all for having some "fandom fun" and I get questions of all kinds. I get a bit touchy when the topic of "looks" comes up. To me, it strips one of their self worth. He's done so many great things, and not just because he has a "pretty FACE" ;)

Peace out,

I know how you feel .I run one for The Monkees. I get some interesting questions about them? Like this old lady asked me if they snore? ROFLMAO Pretty funny. I wouldn't be suprised if someone hasn't asked you they same about Dirk. Some people ask some pretty silly questions. But it is all in fun. So you can't take it to seriously. And no I have no idea if the monkees snore and really don't care. LOL!

Glad I figured out the problem too. It was driving me nuts as well. :D

For the record I think Dirk looks great and seems really happy with who he is. And that's great. :D

Hello!

Dirk is perfect the way he is. I really like the way he dresses. That's his choice, and no one elses. What really matters is the wonderful spirit he projects from within.

And why mess with perfection?

A little off the subject of looks here, but I have a question.
Awhile ago I heard that Dirk joined up with another actor to help fight poverty in the Appalachian mountain area. I have never heard anything about it since. Is he still involved in helping them? I would love to know. Thanks.

As far as Dirks' looks go, I say he looks great! I swear that the man does not age! :D

I think that the ring he wears is a university ring. :)

I have never heard anything about helping the poverty in the mountains. :?

I would like to know about a pilots license. I read somewhere that Dirk has one, but I don't trust everything that I read. I would like to know if it's true or not. If it is, that is really cool. ( somehow I would not be suprised if he does. Dirk has always been very cool )

Yes, Dirk does have a pilots license. He got it right after Starbuck and bought his own plane courtesy of the A-Team. It's in his book CoaKC.

When I was 13 years old I thought Dirk Benedict was the only thing, I read everything I could get my hands on about him--if memory serves he flew a cessna. I'm 36 now, happily married and often think about my teen crush with fond memories. As far as his looks go--he is still Dirk to me, no matter what he looks like. I am new to this site and am very curious about Macrobiotics. I am battling severe Crohn's Disease and would like some insight, appreciate any information. Take care and thanks "Faceman" for my memories

Hehe, I was the total opposite of yours! Well, uhm, I wasn't a teenager (that's what I'm not - still), but I was about 4 years old when I watched The A-Team for the first time and I never liked the Faceman... I thought something like "Who does he think he is?" (okay, I probably wasn't able to think this way at age 4, but later).
I thought Murdock was funny, so he was my favorite character. Of course I never got anything to know about the actors behind all this... no internet, nothing, I was too young btw.
But thank God, now I really like all of them!
My first crush was Terence Hill at age 2 though... and still he's a great man ;)

Dear Montana Cowgirl,
Trust me, at 4 years old it was definitely possible to think that way! Children are the closest thing to Heaven and I would rather have their opinions than some adults--they are brutally honest and that isn't necessarily a bad thing at times. My best friend in High School also loved Murdock, I just really loved "Face" --and part of that teen age girl that remains inside of me still does, I guess we never get over that first "crush". By your username I assume you like horses and ranches, in Ky we like our horses extremely well, but our ranches are called farms and Ky is also where the corvettes are produced--I like horses, but I love my vette. Thank you for your reply, I do appreciate it and hope to hear from you again.

DIRKS JUST LOVELY THE WAY HE IS
I WANTED TO MARRY HIM WHEN I WERE 7 AND HE DISAPPEARED FROM MY TV SCREEN,BUT NOT WAS ALL LOST ON CAME MACGYVER(RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON)SWOON.
I JUST COULDNT CHOOSE BETWEEN THEM,STILL CANT,WHOS SEXIER?FACE OR MACGYVER

facemansgirl

Face is sexier by far. Who could not fall in love? The way Face would flash that wonderful smile when a mission went well. Lift a cigar with a glint in his deep blue eyes. SIGH. SWOON.

Murdock is also very sexy in his own right . I would take either of them, even if only for a second. ( A tropical island somewhere would be great wink! wink! )

Kyvettegirl
11-13-2006, 08:21 PM
Richard Dean Anderson (Macgyver) wasn't hard on the eyes, but I have to agree he was no "Face". These days I lean towards Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas( and they don't do for me what Dirk did), although I have fond memories and still watch re-runs of everything and anything that has to do with Dirk, I guess there are places in every woman's heart that remain true to her first love. And, Murdock--he was just so adorable.

Dirk is a hunk, no denying but...well...Vin Diesel is my dreamboat. I think Spooky's into him too. I just have to look at him and I'm mesmerized. Dirk is so personable that I never really thought of him in that way. Mind you, I see that he's sexy, for sure. But yeah, it's Vin Diesel for me. Hubba Hubba :P

Geesh! I feel like the sleaze of the group now. I had *countless* crushes when I was a kid. Dirk was just the tip of the ice burg.:-)

Of course, even though I had MANY crushes - I never acted on them so I guess that would make me a closet sleaze?

Kyvettegirl
11-14-2006, 08:19 PM
You all have really got me to thinkin', Indy, Vin Diesel, just to name a few---and Julie W you are not a sleaze by any means, maybe we just had to be reminded just how many crushes we all actually had and maybe still do. I have never had the privilege of meeting Dirk, I hope to before leaving this world--from what I gather he is such a wonderful person. It is apparent he still holds a place in my heart I was up at 6:00 am (est) just to catch his movie "Alaska" and then chanel hopped over to the A-Team----not a bad way to get a day started!

*sniff* You two sure make a sleaze....*cough* er....I mean *gal* feel much better about herself.:-)

You guys are right, though. We all had lots of crushes back then. The more I thought about it, I remember getting into discussions with my friends in elementary school about what shows we all watched and someone would ALWAYS swoon over at least one of the male characters on each individual show.

That's not even mentioning the talks we would get into about what boys on the playground were the cutest.:-)

Julie W,
Glad to be of service. Now that I look back at all my "crushes" and remember how convinced I was that if i could just meet Dirk I would turn his head away from his then girlfriend/ later his wife---Apparently, a certain teenager was "full of herself, among other things" . When I found out he had gotten married , I pouted, I even went on a very short term Dirk Benedict strike--but how could you stay mad at him? Anyway, just like Julie said there was always someone to swoon over! Nowadays, i swoon over my husband of 17 years--but no doubt, if i were to meet Dirk i would probably just pass out.
Christy,
you are so right, Mark Harmon is still easy on the eyes! ( Dirk, I apologize as well--but needless to say we all still hold a lot of affection, admiration and adoration for you! or we wouldn't be here singing your praises) That 'bout covers it don't you all think?

I had decided that people like that aren't even worth a second of your time. Sure, you feel frustrated because you think how can someone be so insane...but Tracy always says if you don't pay any attention to it, they'll eventually die out. There is a saying that if you don't feed the trolls they'll die of starvation. I just stopped even concerning myself about the psychos out there. They post lies and say that we're nuts because we see through obvious falsehoods. The only insanity "proven" is their/her own.

Let them be their miserable selves and they can backtrack through their own garbage. Doesn't mean we have to see it. I no longer even acknowledge because I know down the road they'll get theirs in the end. They always do.

Thanks for HUGS and Happy Thanksgiving! Life is too short to waste on the wasted (garbage). Dirk would say the same...to live your life to the fullest and don't let the assholes get you down.

You are so right Nacky, Buddy Holly is a true legend--as well as those who went down with him--the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens. I also loved and still do-- Elvis Presley. Sadly people aren't considered legends, too much, until they pass away. But to be a girl of the 80's I love the music of the 50's , 60's, 70's (and 80's)---My interests are many and varied. Have you read about Taylorsgirl meeting with Dirk? It is simply too cool for words--I am so thrilled for her. talk to you soon--Peg :)
