The rumor mill's goin' 'round and 'round so I could be wrong, but...
Here are the latest spoilers for season three of the new battlestar. http://www.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Season_3_%282006-07%29
"Sackhoff went on to say that "there is another man that comes into her life, and it is a very unlikely man that everyone is going to be so livid over", and which Sackhoff wasn't entirely happy about. She then said "It's Adama", but she appeared to be saying it jokingly to tease the fans. She was probably joking if she meant Admiral William Adama, while Lee "Apollo" Adama doesn't seem very "unlikely" a choice given their history."
The part that got my attention was: "it is a very unlikely man that everyone is going to be so livid over", and which Sackhoff wasn't entirely happy about".

Could also be Noah Hathaway. He was quoted as saying in an interview that Richard Hatch had talked to him doing about doing the show. :D

Did it occur to you that the proposition might be ridiculous enough that it's not worth dignifying with a response?
Rumors are just that - and I've been around long enough to know that rumors about Dirk are often created out of thin air, with no basis in reality whatsoever. And he's not the only one targetted by such complete fictions (right, Tracy?).
Personally, I place this particular question in that category. Fiction. Wishful thinking on somebody's part. Completely without factual support. Pulled out of thin air. Hogwash. Bull.....

The only thing *to* confirm is that it's a rumor. They'll be more of them I'm sure.
As far as I know, Dirk is not guesting on the show.
