I didn't know much about him until I read his books and articles (and heard some recent interviews). I do remember one interview I read recently when he was talking about working on The A-Team where he said that he's a serious person and it was fun being around the craziness on the show. I took the statement seriously. I think he was being ironic. :D

Listening to his interviews, he sounds anything but serious. The other day I played the Battlestar Galactica pilot movie listening to the commentary with Dirk, Richard Hatch and Herb Jefferson and Dirk was hilarious. What launched me off the couch and sent me rolling helplessly on the floor was one of Dirk's comments during a scene where Apollo is arguing with Adama. All of a sudden Dirk pipes up with "Are you wearing hairspray? Your hair isn't moving." I never noticed that before, but you can bet that I will be laughing at it from now on when I watch the movie.

Dirk's comments on their fellow cast members: "Laurette is still the most gorgeous woman, even almost 30 years later!" "Terry Carter still looks the same" Then, about Noah Hathaway "He's aged"

OMG

I'm going to have to watch with commentary again, 'cause I KNOW I missed some things from laughing.

I'm sure he IS serious, sometimes, but he's got a great sense of humor that tickles me to no end. :)

YEAH!!!...I am not the only one that thinks he has a great sense of humor

...I love people with a "quirky" sense of humor

...in the chat room Sunday Tracy said he "giggles" & is quite funny

...in all the interviews and the commentaries it shows & I have to agree he is funny

...I think it is because he is happy with his life...I find that people that are happy often find life fun and see the funny moments

...but that is just one "women's" opinion

I love the Battlestar Comentary. I laughed at Richard , Dirk and Herb. There all pretty funny. Love when Dirk said sssssssssssh this is my close-up . ROFLMAO! Those three have a great chemistry together. I would love it if they all did comentary for all the episodes.

How can anyone know Dirk dosen't giggle? That's just so funny. The man can't do an interview with out giggling and laughing. The radio interview he did for the BBC with Dwight in 2004 was hiterical. The whole time Dwight was doing his share of the interview by phone. Dirk was giggling endlessly in the backround. That's always how I can tell Dwight and Dirk's voices apart when they do phone in interviews. They sound so much alike when they talk. :D

In Dirk's book he said he wouldnt do soap operahs becasue their to serious, and Dirk wouldn't be Dirk with out laughter.

Hey Tracy! :)

I think this was asked about before, but might not have been...

There are links out there to the audio for Dirk's intereviews, would it be possible to post them on the site here so we can all get to them? If they are already here, I couldn't find them. I've been getting links in e-mail to sites with his interviews, and those e-mails tend to get lost. It would be really easy if we could have them all in one place, and what better place for them than dirkbenedictcentral.com? :)

It was for the colin & edith show in the uk. They have a link for it on ther web page but when you click on it now it goes to some web page on there current shows. Which I think is a bit cofussing for there fans. If they took down the interviews they need get rid of the links.
